We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Milling Assistant, Northern Nigeria
Location: Kano
Purpose
- To support efficient milling operations by assisting with routine production activities, monitoring milling processes, and ensuring compliance with quality, food safety, and health and safety standards to achieve business objectives.
The Job
- Take measurements of wheat and wheat product levels in storage silos.
- Collect samples and conduct basic analysis of flour streams to support process monitoring and quality standards.
- Coordinate chemical draw rate activities as required.
- Assist with routine mill maintenance activities to support operational efficiency.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and hygiene within the mill.
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements.
- Support adherence to Food Safety System Certification (FSSC) standards and procedures.
- Report operational issues and observations to the relevant supervisor.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 5 O-Level credits, including Mathematics and English/ NABTEB, or Trade Test Grade.
Experience:
- Minimum of two (2) relevant experience in a manufacturing or production environment will be an added advantage.
The Person Must:
- Have good attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality.
- Be physically fit and able to work within a factory environment.
- Demonstrate a strong safety consciousness and adherence to established procedures.
- Possess good teamwork and communication skills.
- Be able to work effectively under supervision and follow instructions.
