How can you make a difference?
The Driver at the G-2 level, is typically reports to an Operations Associate, and provides reliable and safe driving services while ensuring compliance with local traffic rules and UNICEF protocols. Drivers are expected to demonstrate the highest standards of professionalism, discretion, integrity, adaptability and protocol awareness. They are also expected to support administrative tasks and engage in self-directed learning during non-driving periods. The Driver demonstrates a client-oriented approach, courtesy, tact, a high sense of responsibility, and the ability to work effectively with people of diverse national and cultural backgrounds.

- Safe and Reliable Driving Services
- Routine Vehicle Care, Maintenance and Readiness
- Use of Digital Tools and Tracking Systems
- Trip Documentation and Reporting
- Communication and Emergency Readiness
- Support Office Operations During Idle Periods
Qualification and Experience
To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…
Minimum requirements:
- Education:
A secondary education is required, along with a valid driver`s license and knowledge of local driving rules and regulations.
- Work Experience:
Minimum two years of work experience as a driver in an international organization, embassy or UN system with a safe driving record is required.
- Language Requirements:
Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
SKILLS
- Good analytical skills and negotiating skills.
- Ability to manage and monitor the effective use of resources.
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment and establish harmonious working relationships, both within and outside the organization.
- Fast learner, adapts and responds to change, tolerates ambiguity.
- Ability to contribute to formulation of strategies and policies.
- Good knowledge of latest developments and technology in the construction industry.
- Good understanding of construction project cycles, from program needs assessment, through planning, procurement and contracting, monitoring the execution of work and evaluation of project outcomes.
- Good knowledge and understanding of UNICEF programs, public procurement principles, financial and legal aspects of construction issues, ethics and risk management of construction projects.
