The Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) is now accepting applications for the 2026 Data Privacy Ambassadorship Program, a nationwide student-focused initiative aimed at building data protection awareness, digital responsibility, and privacy advocacy across tertiary institutions in Nigeria.
This free programme is designed to equip students with practical knowledge of data protection laws, digital rights, and online safety, while empowering them to become campus champions for responsible data use in an increasingly data-driven economy.
Programme Overview
The NDPC Data Privacy Ambassadorship Program provides selected students with structured exposure to data protection principles, awareness of the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA), and best practices for safeguarding personal information in both digital and physical environments. Ambassadors will actively promote a culture of data privacy through campus engagements, sensitisation campaigns, and peer education initiatives.
