This is an exciting opportunity to lead maternal health interventions in Nigeria. The role involves supervising field activities and coordinating with government partners to reduce maternal mortality. The individual will play a vital role in ensuring the effective implementation and monitoring of the Maternal Mortality Reduction Initiative (MAMII) at the state level.
Location: Bauchi ,Borno, Kaduna, Kebbi, Ondo and Yobe states
Key Responsibilities:
✔️ Support the rollout and implementation of maternal health interventions in priority LGAs.
✔️ Ensure pregnant women are effectively tracked, referred, and linked to maternal health services and insurance schemes.
✔️ Supervise and monitor ongoing activities at health facilities, community groups, and outreach sites to ensure quality and efficiency.
✔️ Collect and monitor data on key maternal health indicators and contribute to comprehensive reports and documentation.
✔️ Coordinate and strengthen engagement with government partners and community groups.
Requirements:
✔️ A Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Nursing, Community Development, or a related field.
✔️ A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in maternal health, community health, or health program supervision.
✔️ Strong organizational, supervisory, coordination, and reporting skills are essential.
✔️ Fluency in both English and a local language (Hausa or Yoruba).
✓Proven experience in monitoring health interventions, community engagement, and referral systems.
✔️ Knowledge of local cultural norms and the health system context.
