EMF is building a community of volunteer linguists and cultural mediators to support humanitarian communication and accountability to affected populations across Northeast Nigeria and beyond.
Location: Nigeria
We are looking for passionate individuals who can contribute their skills in:
- Professional Translation & Interpretation – any of languages (Hausa, Kanuri, Shuwa, Fulfulde, Marghi, Babur, Waha, Higi, Kanoumbu, French, Arabic, Mandara, and more)
- Transcription – audio/video to text with high accuracy
- Voiceover & Subtitling – humanitarian messages in local languages
- Audio Messaging & Storytelling – culturally appropriate and engaging
- Terminology & Glossary Development – sector-specific accuracy
- Language Support for AAP Activities – surveys, FGDs, hotlines
- Capacity Building for Field Teams – cultural sensitivity & language traininga
By volunteering with EMF, you will Gain:

WHO CAN APPLY?
