Sydani is actively looking for Management Support Team (MSTs) to serve as LGA Technical Assistants for the SPAC-Niger project.
The SPAC-Niger project aims to strengthen vaccine-preventable disease surveillance across six Local Government Areas (Lapia, Gbako, Munya, Mashegu, Tafa, and Piakoro) to ensure timely detection, reporting, and response to VPD outbreaks.
Location : Niger ( Lapia, Gbako, Munya, Mashegu, Tafa, and Piakoro)
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to the LGA surveillance teams on VPD surveillance and reporting
- Facilitate training and progress meetings to address challenges and provide recommendations.
- Supervise surveillance activities at health facilities and communities in one of six LGAs: Lapia, Gbako, Munya, Mashegu, Tafa, or Piakoro.
- Support Health Facility Surveillance Focal Persons (SFPs) in detecting and reporting suspected vaccine-preventable disease cases.
- Address challenges and issues that may arise during the conduct of surveillance activities in the LGA
- Ensure timely data collection, validation, and reporting to the LGA Disease Surveillance Notification Officer (DSNO).
- Collaborate with local health authorities and laboratories to facilitate case investigations and outbreak response.
- Facilitate communication and coordination between LGA and state surveillance teams and other stakeholders
- Provide regular reports and feedback to the state surveillance team and other stakeholders on VPD surveillance activities
