The Federal University of Health Sciences, Azare invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to urgently fill the following vacant positions in the University.

.      QUALIFICATIONS

1. Professor

Candidate must possess a first degree for not less than second upper division, a master`s degree and a PhD degree, (MBBS and Fellowship) in the appropriate discipline and applied for, with at least ten (10) years teaching and research experience in a university. Candidates must be an international scholar of high esteem, with scholarly peer reviewed publications in both local and international journals as proof of area of specialization within departmental fields of study. A Scopus publication h-index of 15 points and above and the evidence of having attracted research grants as principal investigator in recent years will be added advantages. Candidates must also have sufficient administrative experience and must not be above 60 years old at the time of appointment.

2.  Associate Professor

Candidate must possess a first degree for not less than second upper division, a master`s degree and a PhD degree, (MBBS and Fellowship) in the appropriate discipline and applied for, with at least eight (8) years teaching and research experience in a university. Candidates must be an international scholar of high esteem, with scholarly peer reviewed publications in both local and international journals as proof of area of specialization within departmental fields of study. A Scopus publication h-index of between 8 or more points. Evidence of having attracted research grants as principal investigator in recent years will be added advantage. Candidates must also have sufficient administrative experience and must not be above 55 years old at the time of appointment.

3. Senior Lecturer

Candidate must possess a first degree for not less than second upper division, a master`s degree and a PhD degree, (MBBS and Fellowship) in the appropriate discipline and applied for, with at least five (5) years teaching and research experience in a university. Candidates must be international scholars of high esteem, with scholarly peer-reviewed publications in both local and international journals as proof of area of specialization within departmental fields of study. A Scopus publication h-index of between 4 or more. Evidence of having attracted research grants as principal investigator in recent years will be added advantages. Candidates must also have sufficient administrative experience and must not be above 50 years old at the time of appointment.

4. Lecturer I

Candidate must possess a first degree for not less than second upper division, a master`s degree and a PhD degree, (MBBS and Fellowship) in the appropriate discipline and applied for, with at least two (2) years teaching and research experience in a university as a Lecturer II. Candidates must possess scholarly peer reviewed publications in both local and international journals as proof of area of specialization within departmental fields of study. Candidates must not be above 45 years old at the time of appointment.

Salaries and allowances are as obtainable in Nigerian Public Universities.
