The MTN Cloud Accelerator is a 12-week program designed to help African startups grow faster by leveraging MTN’s products, platforms, and partners. Whether you’re scaling digital payments, transforming healthcare, or reimagining agriculture — we’ll give you the tools, funding, and network to go further.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be an MTN customer?

No. The program is open to any African startup that meets the criteria.

Will MTN invest in my company?

MTN is not taking equity. Instead, MTN will provide ₦100 million in total grant funding — ₦5 million per startup — to support growth, integration, and pilot readiness.

Is it free to join?

Yes. If selected, participation is fully sponsored by MTN. Each startup receives ₦5 million in grant funding, as well as mentorship, technical support, and access to MTN platforms.

Is travel required?

Yes — only for two weeks: Week 1 (Kickoff) and Week 12 (Demo Day), which will be held in Lagos. All other sessions are virtual.

What happens after the program?

Startups may be eligible for MTN pilots, commercial partnerships, or even long-term integration into MTN’s product stack. We also continue to support with investor intros and alumni perks.
